Jessica Taylor is one of the hundreds of talented musicians that have had the honor of performing with one of the legendary Platters groups. After 20 glorious years with her Platters outfit, Jessica decided to go solo and settled into the SoCal desert jazz scene near Palm Springs.
While photographing and video recording the second Jazzville show at Oscar’s Cafe in downtown Palm Springs, Brown Miller of brownian productions™ noted Ms. Taylor’s vibrant stage presence and command of the audience’ attention. He decided she would make an ideal spokesperson for his latest project: Jazz Near You: Palm Springs
On Wednesday, Taylor accepted a request for her to support the JazzNearYou.com outreach campaign as a spokesperson and photo model.
“An artist with her notoriety and talent will be invaluable to us as an advocate and ally,” said Brown Miller the local admin of PalmSprings.JazzNearYou.com
In a Facebook message Wednesday night Taylor wrote “I would love to be a part of making this something the masses will come to know and recognize how great it already is! It’s way overdue!”
And, she concluded her message with “I know it’s destined for greatness and I’m honored to be part of it!!”
Miller says “brownian productions™ and Jazz Near You are excited to have such a great performer and charismatic personality as a brand ambassador. Really looking forward to working with Jessica, and we are so grateful to her.”
